Pearl and Ringo Go Boating

Pearl and Ringo try to decide which watercraft to take out on the lake. Lazy summer weekends lend themselves to the dogs creating all manner of entertainment for one another whilst I am otherwise occupied. Here they arrange for a water jousting match between themselves (bless their pointed little heads and ears). The winner gets to frolick on their backs inside their boat as the other dogs dangle Ol' Roy biscuits above them into their awaiting mouths.
The ancient Romans could only dream of the pleasure these guys derive from humiliating their brethren by defeating them in this game of skill. And with no brewing Vesuvius in the background, its all harmless fun on a Sunday!

The Swarm

Dateline: Halloween.
Flash: A swarm of Bumble Bee/Border Collie hybrids spotted in the Mapleton Hill area. Be on the lookout for five slightly agitated (because they had to wear those stupid outfits) dogs in bee costumes.
Beware: They do not sting but will definitely relentlessly stare at a ball until you agree to pick it up and throw it.

A Place We Can Go

In difficult times, it is comforting to have a place we can go. Somewhere where the bill collectors, hectic schedules, anxieties about growing older and what you are going to wear are left far behind. This place is different for all of us, but it is a necessity in times of distress or anxiety. Yesterday I went to my place and visited with my good friend Diamond. We ran around and I let her bite my toes like she always loved to do. I'll make sure I go visit her there often, OK girl?
